Description
SOW - Adm Support for PSS THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION to generate industry interest pertaining to a Statement of Work in support of the U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Internal Affairs Personnel Security Division (PSD). This notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, Solicitation, or Request for Quotes. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this Request for Information. Any responses received will not be used as a proposal. Further, CBP offers no assurance that any solicitation will result from the information provided in response to this RFI. As a component of the United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is responsible for protecting our Nation's borders in order to prevent terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the United States, while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel. CBP is also responsible for apprehending individuals attempting to enter the U.S. illegally; stemming the flow of drugs and other contraband; protecting our agricultural and economic interests from harmful pests and diseases; protecting American business from theft of their intellectual property; and regulating and facilitating international trade, collecting import duties, and enforcing U.S. trade laws. STATEMENT OF WORK: To carry out this mission, the CBP PSD requires contractor support to provide personnel security intake, data entry, file room, scanning and other personnel security duties to meet timely scheduling and adjudication of background investigations to ensure all applicants and employees are suitable for employment and/or a security clearance. The contractor shall be responsible for providing staff to review and prepare cases for scheduling of investigations on CBP applicants, employees, and contractors; and in addition, shall assist in personnel security duties that include scanning, inputting information into the PSD internal database, filing and maintenance of case documents. See Attached document Labeled "SOW - Adm Support for PSS" for complete detail. Interested Potential offerors are encouraged to express their interest by responding to this notice. Responses to the notice will not be returned, nor will there be any ensuing discussions or debriefings of any responses. Information provided in response to this notice will be used to assess alternatives available for determining how to proceed in the acquisition process. This notice is part of Government Market Research, a continuous process for obtaining the latest information on the commercial status of the industry. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract. The content of any responses to this notice may be reflected in a subsequent solicitation. CBP reserves the right to contact any respondent to this notice for the sole purpose of enhancing CBP's understanding of the notice submission.
