- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued as a Full and Open Competition and will result in one contract award. This RFQ is issued using Simplified Acquisition Procedures pursuant to FAR Part 13. RFQ W52P1J-12-Q-JF08 is hereby issued for quotes only. The government intends to award a contract to the lowest price offeror that meets the following standards: - Have a minimum 3 star rating from Trip Advisor (tripadvisor.com) - Are not undergoing renovation or remodeling at any time during the stay - Have a restaurant on premises This requirement is for the procurement of the following: Hotel accommodations for 20 individuals located within a 20 mile radius of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Each individual must have their own room. Duration of stay will be from 13 July 2012 to 18 August 2012. All room rates shall be provided at or below the government per diem rates found at: http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/perdiemCalc.cfm Hotel accommodations for all 20 individuals must be located at the same Hotel. The contractor shall provide parking for 5 vehicles. The contractor shall provide internet access for one of the team members designated by the government. A quote shall include a total price for all rooms. The government does not intend to calculate total prices. The government will furnish a list of names for all guest rooms at least 3 days prior to arrival. The contractor shall clean, vacuum, dust guest rooms, sanitize bathrooms, change linens and remove garbage from trash cans on a daily basis. Fire Safety: The contractor's facility shall comply with applicable fire and safety codes and regulations. Any damages sustained by the contractor due to negligence of the government personnel will be negotiated by the Contracting Officer, who will make the final determination as to whether settlement costs are due. Consequently, credit card numbers will not be provided by any of the government personnel staying at the hotel. The government will not be responsible for any miscellaneous charges incurred by government personnel that are over and above what is included as part of the daily room rate. The contractor shall explain to the participant that miscellaneous services such as personal telephone charges, pay-per-view movies, room service, internet service (if applicable as an additional cost), meals not included in the room rate, and other such services are not covered by the contract will be payable by the guest. Any reports of pest infestation shall be remedied within 24 hours of initial report. Please state in your quote if all federal and state taxes are exempt. Quotes are due by 1200pm Central Standard Time, on 15 JUN 2012.
