Description
The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a firm fixed-price contract for Tracy Fish Collecting Facility, Trash Rake Monorail Extension. This is an unrestricted solicitation and offers from all responsible concerns will be considered. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard is $33.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Solicitation R12PS20062 will be posted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about June 18, 2012. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately July 18, 2012. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award. Questions concerning this solicitation should be directed to Rosana Yousef Goarji by email at ryousefgoarji@usbr.gov. The following items of work shall accompany the installation of the monorail: 1. Furnish and install new sections of monorail with two new cantilevered supports as shown on the drawings. 2. Construct a reinforced concrete pad on the north side of the bridge as shown on the drawings. 3. Install steel pipe bollards as shown on the drawings. 4. Cut existing piles as necessary to allow construction of the concrete pad and the two new supports for the cantilevered columns. 5. Place asphalt concrete surfacing as shown on the drawings. 6. Modify the Government-Furnished backup trash rake hoist to allow operations from the north side when installed on the new monorail. 7. Install a new control system, cables, and conduit for the Government-Furnished backup trash rake on the north side of the bridge. 8. Install the Government-Furnished backup trash rake on the new extended monorail section and ensure successful operation of the system. 9. Install new spare conduits and pull boxes for future use. 10. Install and cap new water lines and install a utility box.
