This is not a solicitation notice. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.1405 and VA Acquisition Regulations 819.7005, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 20, is conducting market research to find Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) Concerns who are interested in an upcoming project and will definitely submit an offer. Responses from this notice will assist in determining if the acquisition should be set-aside for competition restricted to SDVOSB or VOSB Concerns. The project information is as follows: Project Title-- Expand Specialty Clinics Project Location/Address-- VA Puget Sound Healthcare System 1660 South Columbia Way Seattle, WA 98108 Scope of Work-- Contractor to provide all necessary tools, labor, materials, and equipment required to construct a new approximately 17,670 gross square foot (GSF) two story addition on the third and fourth floor levels of Building 100, Diagnostic & Treatment (D&T). The new third floor space will be approximately 8,835 GSF and house three new operating room suites and support spaces including sterile and sub-sterile areas, as well as equipment storage, flash sterilization, mechanical, electrical, telephone and data, soiled holding, and housekeeping spaces. The new fourth floor space will be approximately 8,835 GSF and house a new Dental suite including all support spaces, exam rooms, dental operatories, oral surgery rooms, a fully functional laboratory, waiting room, offices, housekeeping, and other support and administrative spaces. Each floor will include an interstitial level above to match the existing construction system and the existing seismic bracing system will be extended as part of the addition. The NAICS Code is 236220 and size standard is $33.6 mil. The construction magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 In order to be considered, you are requested to provide, at a minimum, the following information. 1.Company name, address and phone number and email address. 2.Verification your company is registered in VetBiz and is a certified SDVOSB or VOSB. This is a mandatory certification requirement if your company is claiming SDVOSB or VOSB status. 3.Bonding capacity and bonding information. 4.Written confirmation your company intends to submit an offer. (Request you only respond if you have a genuine interest in the project and will definitely submit a bid/offer.) 5.Company profile to include certified NAICS code it is registered for. 6.Proof your company has received a contract, conducts business, or has bid on, similar work in the general locality of the project. 7.If your company has not done business in the general locality, explain why your company is interested in the project and how you intend to overcome the obstacles of bidding and working in a new location (i.e. subcontractor and supplier plans, superintendence, project management, customer relations, etc.). Submit above information in detail and writing to Robin Tice via E-mail at robin.tice@va.gov no later than 06/07/2012. Incomplete information will not be considered or included in resultant set-aside determination. A synopsis will be posted with the set-aside information on the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizops.gov on or about 06/11/2012.
