Description
SYNOPSIS - Foreign Weapons Training This synopsis will result in a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Part 12 Commercial Item & Part 13 Simplified Acquisition procedures for Foreign Weapons Training (FWT) at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The period of performance will be for one (1) base year from the date of award. The FWT requirement can be conducted in austere field conditions and is designed to provide Military Transition Teams (MTT) with a general overview of the opposition weapons and capabilities in support of training requirements. The Contractor shall provide a current Federal Firearms License (FFL) in accordance with Federal and State Laws. The training will consist of the following foreign weapons: AK-47, RPK Machinegun, PKM, SVD Sniper Weapon, and RPG-7 Rocket Propelled Grenade. FWT will also consist of firing the AK-47, PKM, and SVD Sniper Weapon. Weapons need to be operational for both the Live Fire Exercise (LFX) and the Preliminary Marksmanship Instructions (PMI). There will be twelve (12) classroom preliminary marksmanship instructions conducted as well as twelve (12) live fire exercises. The approximate number of students for the PMI's and LFX's will be 350. Classes normally are between 5 and 40 students. This RFQ will be a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOB) Set-Aside. The Applicable NAICS code is 611699 with a business size of $7 million. The government intends to issue a Request for Quote on or about 6 June 2012. View downloaded documents at ASFI site.
