Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. It has been determined that the passenger and freight elevators, located in the Campos Federal Courthouse and the Montoya Federal Building in Santa Fe, New Mexico, are obsolete. The modernization of these vertical transportation systems is necessary in order to comply with existing elevator codes, the associated American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and life safety requirements. Work consists of, but is not limited to; the modernization of two (2) existing traction passenger elevators and one (1) existing hydraulic freight elevator. Provide new: two (2) geared traction passenger elevators, one (1) holeless hydraulic freight elevator, AC machines, solid state microprocessor controls, car frame, cabs, doors and entrances, and everything associated in providing three (3) complete new elevators. All work performed under this contract shall meet or exceed the current ASME-A17.1 Elevator Code and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. The technical scope of work is in sufficient detail that no element of design is required by the contractor. The estimated cost range for all work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.00. This procurement is open to all business concerns. Work to be performed under the contemplated contract will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238990 with a size standard of $14 Million. All offerors are advised that this project may be revised or canceled at any time during the sources sought, synopsis, solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and final award. The solicitation will be available on or about May 31, 2012. Award will be based on best value to the Government. The evaluation factors to be used in this procurement will be technical approach, schedule, preventive maintenance approach, experience, past performance and price in descending order of importance. Non- price factors, when combined, are significantly more important than price. It is anticipated that this project will be awarded to the Contractor who is determined to have offered the Best Value to the Government. The award determination will be made by the Contracting Officer and the Project Manager, based on technical and pricing criteria, utilizing informal source selection procedures In responding to this sources sought, please indicate your: (1) interest as a prime contractor, teaming partner, joint venture, and indicate (2) whether or not your company is a small business, 8(a), SDVOSB. (3) Brief description of your firms past experience in Construction trades, (4) overall Bonding Capacity, and (5) company information (name, point of contact phone number/email). It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 365 calendar days to complete. Please note that there is no solicitation available at this time; the purpose of this announcement is to identify available sources only. Award of any resulting procurement will be based on a source selection employing a "Best Value Concept" methodology. Submit this information to the Contract Specialist listed below via e-mail only. No phone calls or faxes expressing interest will be accepted. At a minimum all vendors must supply the following information: Your Company's Central Contractor Registration (CCR), Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (you can get this number from your company's CCR Point of Contact), you company's DUNS Number or CAGE Code (Contact Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 if you do not have a DUNS Number), your telephone number, and your e-mail address.
