- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to increase the maximum quantity ceiling of Large Corrosion Control (CC) Carts on the Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, N68335-05-D-0022, with Hydraulics International Inc located at 9201 Independence Ave, Chatsworth, CA 91311-5905. This contract is for the design, development, testing and manufacture of two (2) unique items of Common Support Equipment and associated Supportability data to support Organizational, Intermediate and Depot Level of operation and maintenance of the Large and Small Corrosion Control Carts. This increase to the maximum quantity ceiling of Large CC Carts from 250 units to 350 units will allow multi services (Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Foreign Military customers) to procure sufficient quantities of this unit to sustain mission requirements. The Government intends to increase the maximum quantity ceiling under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own a complete drawing package that could be used to competitively procure this configuration of the Large CC Cart. The Government did not procure a detailed drawing package from HII as part of the competitive contract. Using any other source other than the HII would cause substantial duplication of cost and unacceptable delays if the contract was competed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
