Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service/items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement is to install concrete pads and sidewalk to allow the permanent placement of stanchions to support a new exit flume for the lamprey passage system on the upper end of Cascade Island on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property at Bonneville Dam. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: The project is for materials and labor to install 8 concrete pads and 300' of concrete sidewalk. All concrete will be 3,000 psi rated and the surface completed to a sidewalk standard broom finish level. The concrete pads will be located on existing asphalt in a location determined by NOAA Fisheries staff. The pads will measure 3'x3'x5.5"thick, and will include 6x6 10/10 wire mesh. In addition, a hole will be drilled through the existing asphalt at each corner of the pads for a 5/8" diameter rebar to anchor the pad to the asphalt. The location of the concrete sidewalk will be determined by NOAA Fisheries staff. The sidewalk will be 4' wide by 5.5" thick, and will be reinforced with 6x6 10/10 wire mesh; and 5/8" rebar, the rebar will be continuous along each edge of the sidewalk. Work will include excavation, 4" of compacted ¾" rock subgrade and all formwork, pouring and finishing. Excavation spoils will be placed to the side and dressed into the hillside. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).
