- The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) and the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM MAS) are planning an acquisition for Caliber.38 and.45 Pistol Cartridges. The following six (6) cartridges/DODICS are anticipated to be included: Ctg., Caliber.38, Special Ball, M41 (A400); Ctg., Caliber.38, Special Blank (A403); Ctg., Caliber.38, Special Match, Wadcutter (A404); Ctg., Caliber.45, Ball, M1911 (A475); Ctg., Caliber.45, Match, Wadcutter (A482); and Ctg., Caliber.45, M1911 Match Grade (A483). This acquisition will be subject to Full and Open competition. The Contracting Officer is planning to post draft solicitation W52P1J-12-R-0016 to the following website on or about May 29, 2012 under the Caliber.38 and.45 Pistol Cartridges heading: http://www.aschq.army.mil/ac/aaisdus/sow.aspx Interested parties are encouraged to review the draft solicitation and provide questions/comments in writing via the Q&A Form provided on the website. Please submit to the Contract Specialist, Mark Stevens at mark.d.stevens.civ@mail.mil and the Contracting Officer, Randall Slusser at randall.c.slusser.civ@mail.mil no later than June 29, 2012. Please note that the Technical Data Package Listings (TDPLs) associated with this acquisition are restricted (Distribution Code D). When requesting access to the TDPs in accordance with clause 52.211-4502, Technical Data Package Information, and Distribution and Destruction of Restricted Technical Data, please note the following: If you are a CONUS supplier, the requestor must be the POC (data custodian) in the Joint Certification Program database or the request will be denied. To verify who you POC is, please log onto http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/search.aspx and use the Cage Code search function. If the data custodian is unavailable to make the request, please send a letter to the Contract Specialist via e-mail (noted above) to request access for a different individual in your firm. The letter must be on company letterhead and certified with the requestor's signature and a declaration that the requestor is authorized by the company to receive restricted TDPs. If you are an OCONUS supplier, you must obtain an export license for the technical data in order to receive it.
