Description

Notice of Intent: The Baltimore VA, Loch Raven CBOC, and the Annex, Baltimore, MD, VISN 5, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Earth Security Electronics for the follow-on maintenance of the Phase I - Phase IV security system that they installed throughout the above facilities. NAICS Code 561621 applies and the Size Standard is $12.5 million. The Period of Performance will be for a base of three (3) months estimated from the date of contract award and 3 one-year options. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or a request for offerors. No solicitation package is available at this time. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice (VA245-12-R-0194) must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 PM (EST) on June 4, 2012. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
