- SOW ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials required to seal and coat the cracks on a 40,000 SF section of asphalt pavement and removing a frost heave. All pavement work is on the USCG Air Station-Kodiak apron. All work shall proceed in accordance with State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (AKDOT&PF) approved methods and materials for highways. Contractor must be in accordance with (IAW) statement of work (SOW). Contractor will be selected based on the lowest price technically accepted. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: NONE. Performance Period is 14-30 days. Work to be performed July- August 31, 2012. SUBMITTALS DUE PRIOR TO AWARD: NONE SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD: Within five (5) business days of being awarded the contract, the successful Bidder will arrange a pre-construction meeting with the Contracting Officer, in which the contractor will describe in complete detail how he intends to execute the work of this project to include start date, anticipated duration, equipment, techniques and products that will be used to complete the project. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations, federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, air, and noise pollution. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY June 7, 2012. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD June 21, 2012, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.) Location: U.S. Coast Guard Base Kodiak, Alaska.
