- PROJECT TITLE: Asbestos Removal, Lost Mound Unit, Savanna District REFUGE LOCATION: Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife & Fish Refuge U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service 7071 Riverview Road Thomson, IL 61285-7692 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary for the removal of asbestos containing materials (ACM) from several buildings including caulk, floor tile and associated mastic, pipe wrap insulation, furnace gaskets and vent pipe, and transite wall and roof panels. A small percentage of ACM is friable (pipe wrap). A small amount of lead abatement is included. All buildings containing ACM are in deteriorated condition and planned for future demolition. All buildings are located within a 5-mile radius of each other in a restricted area closed to public access. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is issued as a set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 562910, Remediation Services with a size standard of $14.0 million. The solicitation package will be available via electronic commerce at http://www.fedconnect.net and http://www.fbo.gov on or about June 11, 2012, with quotes due on or about July 11, 2012. No telephone requests for the solicitation can be accepted. This solicitation will NOT be available in hard copy. The electronic package will consist of separate files for the standard form used for the submission or your quote, the specifications, drawings, and the prevailing wage determination. Please ensure you have a complete downloaded solicitation package before submitting your Quote. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure that they receive all appropriate solicitation documents to submit a competitive Quote. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at www.ccr.gov and complete Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at www.bpn.gov to be eligible for this award.
