Description

The National Park Service contemplates issuing a sole source contract to Altec Industries, Inc. 210 Inverness Center Drive, Birmingham, AL 35242-4834 to provide the following: Furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to remount Hydra Tech Lift All, model LAH-28-15, to a 2010 Ford F450. Contractor is to provide all necessary repairs to the aerial lift to make it operable and able to pass all necessary testing and re-certification. Contractor is to install new hydraulic pump on PTO of transmission, wiring, hydraulic hoses, etc. to operate aerial lift; install new H-frame outriggers, outrigger valves, and make any other necessary re-enforcements necessary. Contractor shall provide all required testing and certification in conformance with the applicable requirements of the American national Standards for 'Vehicle Mounted Elevating and Rotating Aerial Devices' (ANSI A92.2) The remounted and tested aerial work platform shall be in compliance with the following requirements: ANSI A92.2, ANSI A92.3, ANSI A92.5 AND ANSI A92.6. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received by COB June 26, 2012 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
