Description

Veteran Admin Site Meeting Minutes for Grounds Maintenance Services VA262-12-R-0800 Held May 18, 2012 1.Ten organizations attended the site visit. 2.Contract Specialist for this requirement is Tamara Feist-Hatfield. Please note the email to contact her is tamara.feist-hatfield@va.gov. 3.Reviewed contract specifics details: a.All questions must be submitted in writing to the above email address no later than May 24, 2012 prior to 9 am PST in order to allow sufficient time for the Government to respond to the inquiry. All questions/answers will be posted to FBO.gov. Questions submitted after this time may not allow enough time to gather a technical response. b.Offerors must be registered within VetBiz.gov under the appropriate NAICS code in order to be eligible for award. c.Offerors should pay attention to 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors (plus the addendum) and 52.212-2, Evaluation of Offerors. d.It is the offeror's responsibility to forward the past performance survey to the references. All surveys must be forwarded directly to the Contract Specialist noted above. e.A confirmation of receipt of the proposal will be sent for each email received. Again, it is the offeror's responsibility to ensure successful receipt prior to solicitation deadline. f.Solicitation deadline is May 31, 2012 at 9 am PST. 4.This requirement is for a base year plus four option years. 5.A list of foliage, plants, trees, and flowers can be found within Appendix B within the solicitation file on fbo.gov under the solicitation number. 6.CD's of the site map are available to eligible contractors by submitting an email to the above contract specialist. Questions and Answers 1 - Is there an emergency water shut-off value/system with the CLC courtyard? ANSWER: There is a shut off valve just north of the exterior footprint of building 5. 2 - What do we do if we have to bring in a wheelbarrow or special equipment into any of the courtyards? ANSWER: There are several access points for employees only. Should access be needed, please coordinate with the COR and they can clarify the route. Proper protection of existing structures (floors, walls, etc.) will be required to prevent damage. 3 - When does the plant warranty expire? ANSWER: March 31, 2014 4 - When does the irrigation system warranty expire? ANSWER: March 31, 2013. Routine maintenance parts due to normal wear and tear are not part of the extended warranty and the contractor will be responsible under this requirement. 5 - Can we get a site map? ANSWER: A site map is available on CD per written request to tamara.feist-hatfield@va.gov 6 - Will there be hardscape in the auditorium planters and 5th floor atrium? ANSWER: Not at this time. 7 - Can we utilize dye in the herbicide? ANSWER: A non-hazardous colorant for residential application of pesticides and/or fertilizers may be utilized. It must disappear rapidly in any weather condition, and blend completely with pesticides and fertilizers, without influencing their effectiveness. A MSDS sheet is required for submittal to the COR prior to use.
