Description
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools and equipment necessary to replace and dispose of existing shingles on the Visitor Center and Pole Barn in accordance with state and local laws. The contractor shall remove existing shingles, trim, tar paper, and repair any structural damage. The contractor will install 30# underlayment, ice\water membrane, minimum 26 gauge steel UL approved panels and any necessary trim according to manufacturers' specifications. Ice and water membrane will be installed on eaves, rakes and valleys with the proper overlap recommended by the manufacturer to ensure the manufacturers' waterproof guarantee. A hidden fastener roofing system will be used with a minimum 1' rib continuous with no seams or joints. A sealing tape will be used where any two metal surfaces meet or where an exposed fastener must be used. Drip edges, rake\gable trims, valleys and ridge cap will be the same color and style provided by the manufacturer of the panels. Color and style must be approved by the park manager. All flashing, rubber boots, trim, vents etc. will be replaced and any holes will be properly repaired prior to roof installation. New boots will be installed as recommended by the manufacturer. Perforated Z trim or equivalent will be installed at the end panels to prevent water\snow penetration prior to the installation of ridge cap. A urethane MP1 or equivalent caulking will be used where necessary. Clamp on ice\snow guards will be installed on all eaves. No exposed holes will be drilled in panel eaves. Guards will be of a metal material and must match roof color. Panel ends will be folded over an extended drip edge to provide a waterproof joint and allow drainage into gutters.
