Description
This is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award a non-personal service for a Licensed Psychology Lecturer/Consultant to provide a 2-day training and workshop in the field of Psychology Supervision Competency located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii. This workshop is tailored for interns, residents and postdoctoral fellows. Solicitation W81K02-12-R-0038 applies. Lecturer must be able to conduct/provide the following workshop topics: For Trainees: (25 June 2012) Competency-based Supervision Self-assessment of Developmental Level Building Alliance Ethical & Legal Perspectives: Risk Management This workshop will be for interns, residents and postdoctoral fellows to self-assess their own developmental level of supervisory skills based on her Competency-Based Supervision model. Trainees will be able to understand the synergy of the three pillars of effective supervision: the supervisory relationship, inquiry and educational praxis. They will also be able to assess their own strengths and training needs in values critical for success: integrity in practice, ethical values-based practice, appreciation of diversity and science-informed practice. Objectives: Describe three competencies necessary for "good" clinical supervision. Identify 2 ethical and 2 legal risks in the supervision process Describe 2 characteristics necessary for a therapeutic supervisory relationship For Faculty: (26 June 2012) Self-Assessment Supervision Contracts Evaluation of the Supervisory Process Case Presentations of Supervisory Challenges Development of Benchmarks for Supervisors This advanced workshop for faculty will focus on enhancing supervisory skills grounded in the competence-based model. Brainstorming and guidance in identifying and working through the skill challenges in working with complex training issues and developing benchmarks will be processed throughout the day. Objectives: Understand their own skill development in developing supervisory competency to reflect sufficiency of a broad spectrum of personal and professional abilities relative to a given requirement. Describe at least three tools used personally for formative evaluation and feedback to supervisees. Develop as a faculty benchmarks for supervisors, to complement the supervisee competency-based approach, in order for training goals to be defined and procedures for assessing performance objectives are reviewed. This is a firm fixed-price type contract. This solicitation is issued on 23 May 2012. and will close on 7 JUNE 2012, 10:00 AM Hawaii Standard Time or 4:00 PM Eastern Time. Period of Performance is 25 June 2012 through 26 June 2012.
