- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Section, is seeking the potential source of a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (and all other socio-economic categories) with experience in home modifications for a project in Buxton, Maine. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and qualified personnel to provide the following: BID ITEM #1: Kitchen “ Install owner-provided wall oven and cooktop to include removal of existing oven and removal of old cabinetry/install of new cabinetry, with associated electrical work. Also remove existing sink cabinet and provide new sink cabinet, sink and flooring. Provide/install new laminate over existing countertop. BID ITEM #2: Bathroom “ Remove existing sink cabinet, construct new pony wall, reinstall sink and faucet in new countertop. Remove existing toilet, toilet paper holder and towel bar; provide and install new handicap toilet and three new stainless steel ADA grab bars. BID ITEM #3: Stairway Chairlift “ Furnish and install new straight-run, electrically powered stair lift. Includes removal of kitchen door to basement; demolish trim and wall to increase width of opening; paint exposed finishes; provide new wall and door at bottom of stair. BID ITEM #4: Propane Generator “ Furnish and install new LP Standby generator, concrete mounting pad, automatic transfer switch and all necessary electrical work. Furnish and install LP piping and accessories to connect to existing exterior propane tank. BID ITEM #5: Enlarge Four Door Openings “ Provide and install associated doors, hardware, gypsum wallboard and paint. BID ITEM #6: Kitchen Pass-Through “ Enlarge existing opening in kitchen/living room wall to create single opening, to include new framing, drywall, trim and paint. BID ITEM #7: Patio Door “ Remove existing sliding glass door and replace with new fiberglass door and necessary ADA ramps, to include new gypsum wall board, paint and trim. The applicable NAICS Code is 236118, with a size standard of $33.5 Million. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of company/provider; business size; socio-economic category, if any; if services are on a Federal Supply Schedule; firm ™s experience in providing ADA-compliant home modifications that include the above-referenced line items which demonstrates firm ™s ability to meet the above requirement, in strict accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
