Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is W91151-12-T-0160 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-58. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 531130 with a small business size standard of $25.50M.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2012-06-13 16:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Fort Hood, TX 76544 The MCC Hood - MCO Hood requires the following items, Brand Name or Equal, to the following: LI 001, Six (6) Records Storage Containers (Medical Records Storage). The container dimensions will be 9' X 10'6" X 23' or approximately 2,070 cubic feet of storage. The units must be equipped with "easy open" door access with high-security locks for added security. Each container must be partitioned into two (2)separate storage areas, with interior fold-away sorting table, 864 Legal Letter Boxes, and 51" deep custom shelving. Each container must be constructed of 16 gauge galvaneal steel, 2" stud wall panel system, with Type 2N non-combustible fire rating, to include ceiling and wall insulation, heat resistant roof covering, and recessed galvaneal steel floor underlayment. The units must contain a electric ventilation system and forklift pockets for ease of maneuverability. The units will be pre-wired for electrical service (with quick disconnect connectors mounted on the exterior of the container), pre-wired for hardwire electrical connection in order to power the electrical exhaust fan and interior lighting, and must be pre-wired for an alarm system, to include an exterior hard wire connector. Containers must include all labor, supplies, and equipment to include delivery and pickup services. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, MCC Hood - MCO Hood intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. MCC Hood - MCO Hood is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids.All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. Failure to be properly registered at the time and date of closing will render the quote non-responsive.
