- This Amendment is hereby issued to provide government responses to Questions and to publish the site visit attendance sheet. Government responses may change, correct or add requirements to the Solicitation accordingly. The due date for receipt of proposals remains the same. All other terms and conditions remain the same. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to issue a solicitation for a contractor to furnish all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, and supplies to provide janitorial services for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) to maintain all NIEHS facilities, located at 111 T. W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709 in a manner which enhances the appearance and cleanliness of the site as a whole. Janitorial services shall apply to all designated spaces including, but not limited to, halls, rest rooms, office spaces, laboratories, work areas, entryways, lobbies, storage areas, warehouses, stairways, elevators, patios, docks, loading areas, cafeterias, break areas, fitness center, mechanical rooms, Modules A, B, C, D, E and F Penthouses, and interior and limited exterior of the facilities listed in this Performance Based Statement of Work. This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to SBA certified 8(a) concerns only. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 561720 -- Janitorial Services. The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed Priced Contract in accordance with the solicitation procedures outlined in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items/Services and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, with a 12-month period of performance. The tentative solicitation issue date is o/a March 14, 2012. All prospective offerors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on the Internet only at: www.FBO.gov No hard copies will be avail able.
