Description

Sole Source Justification INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE PR F4F5AV2121A001 Contract Number: FA8601-12-P-0229 NAICS Code: 336411 (Size Standard is 1500 Employees) This notification is to inform the public that the Goverment intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed sole source is the Virginia Military Institute of Lexington, VA. This contract is for non-personal services to support research efforts being conducted by AFIT to characterize micro air vehicle wings in-flight. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be emailed to Douglas.McCreary@wpafb.af.mil or faxed to Douglas McCreary, ASC/PKOBB, 937-656-1412 no later than 5:00 pm Eastern on Thursday May 24, 2012.
