THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE WILL NOT BE SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE WITH THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A PROCUREMENT COMMITMENT BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THE SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. REPONSE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY; NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR OR SUFFER ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR ANY IMPROPER IDENTIFIED INFORMATION. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to gain knowledge of interested, capable, and all qualified small businesses under the size standard for the NAICS Code 236220 including but not limited to 8(a), SDVOSB, and HubZone firms. To make appropriate acquisitions, the Government, will use responses to this sources sought announcement and possible future project as determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Cheltenham, Maryland intends to issue a solicitation within the next 60 calendar days for an IDIQ Construction type contract. The resulting contract shall include a base year not-to-exceed $1.5M plus four possible option years also value at $1.5M a year. Total value of the resulting contract shall not exceed $7.5M. It is anticipated that the resulting contract would commence on or about 1 Oct 12. Interested contractors shall submit their interest via email to terry.gragg@dhs.gov by no later than 1 Jun 12. The Government will then determine its procurement method and shortly thereafter, issue the solicitation. Interested contractors should provide their company name and address, CAGE and DUNS numbers, small business certification type(s) and their qualifications. Contractors must also be able to provide a 20% Bid Bond and Performance & Payment Bonds in the amount of $1.5M per year.
