- This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a request for information only. Do not submit pricing information. Responses to this sources sought shall NEITHER constitute responses to solicitation which is not currently available NOR a request to be added to a prospective bidders list to receive a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely the Government's discretion. Responses to this request for information synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. As a part of the acquisition planning, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is seeking information for potential vendors to provide the hazardous waste (HW) disposal services at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030. The services shall include necessary labor, fees, materials, equipment, and transportation to pack, pick-up, transport, store, treat and dispose of hazardous (P, U. & D-listed) lab pack, bulk solvent, gas cylinders, and pharmaceutical sharps waste that may include non-hazardous materials presented for disposal. All work must be completed in accordance with EPA RCRA 40 CFR, DOT 49 CFR and 30 TAC 335 solid waste regulations. The primary sites buildings included in this service are Bldg. 100, 102, 103, 104, 105, 109, 110, and one (1) exterior HW storage building. This is not a request for proposals or request for quotes and in no way obligates the government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be in writing by e-mail addressed to Namphuong.nguyen@va.gov. All responses must be received in writing no later than 1:00 PM, local time on May 24, 2012. Fax or telephone responses will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of sources that decide to send the responses to make sure that the designated office receives their information. Please also be advised that the designated office's email cannot receive any attachments exceeding 5MB.
