Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for Freedom Base Software with Access Control and NVR/DVR Module Package to LX Technologies, Inc. in support of Tactical Training Group, Pacific. LX Technologies Inc. is the only known source that meets the government's requirement. The contract award will be for $36,488.14. The proposed contract action is for a brand name only. The brand name and model number of the product(s) are: (see attachment). In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6), the required justification or documentation is attached. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561621, Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths). The size standard is $12.5 M. The Government intends to award no later than 31 May 2012. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. Closing response date is 9 am PST 24 May 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
