- This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit competitive offers. Interested persons may submit offers, and all offers received prior to May 25, 2011 will be considered by the Government. NAICS code is 72110 and the size standard is $7.0 Million. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-51. See SOW for Performance Period Contracting Officer: Susan Battjer (650) 849-0290 EVALUATION FACTORS Offerors will be evaluated to the extent they can provide the items listed in the price schedule above. The Government will award to the lowest price, responsible, technically acceptable offeror. The technical factors to be evaluated are the proposed geographical location, total event price, and menus being offered. For evaluation purposes only, total cost will be determined by adding the totals in CLINs 0001 through 0004. For Item 0001, the geographical location, contractors are requested to provide the mileage from their venue to the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto CA 94304. For Items 0002 through 0004, contractors are required to provide proposed menus. INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS Only electronic offers will be accepted. Offers are due to Susan.Battjer@va.gov 3:00 PM PST May 25th, 2012. All questions must be submitted in writing by bid closing and will be answered by the Contracting Officer after bid closing and prior to award. To the maximum extent practicable, offerors are encouraged to respond to this solicitation using pre-existing materials (such as menus and layout diagrams.
