- Description
- The US Forest Service, Willamette National Forest intends to issue a sole source contract for the use of the Sweet Home Oregon, High School facilities which includes the use of 10 classrooms, grounds, showers, cafeteria, activity gym and also includes transportation (bus) and cafeteria services for aproximately 200 students. Market research shows that there are not any other known providers for this type of service in the Sweet Home area. It is imperative that the site location be near an outdoors specific field site (private land) to conduct training. The fire guard school will include a week of classroom type instruction, students will sleep overnight on the grounds as well shower, use gym facilities and be provided meals from the cafeteria. Transportation using school busses for the 200 students will be used to transport between the training field and the school. Past performance shows that the Sweet Home School is capable of providing such services in an efficient and professional manner. The US Forest Service, Willamette National Forest, intends to issue a firm-fixed price for the services stated. This action is taken pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6-302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The solicitation number assigned to this effort is AG-04R4-S-12-0011 and the contract resulting from the solicitation will be issued on or about fifteen (15)days after release of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base prior to award. Information on registration may be obtained via the internet at: http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. All contractors and vendors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications (Section K in Solicitations) in the ORCA system.
