Description

The embassy of the United States in Baghdad has issued a solicitation for transportation and mail delivery services. The annual estimated amount for such services will be $1,000,000.00USD. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forth coming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base period and one one-year period at the option of the Government. Major duties and responsibilities are transportation and mail delivery services consisting of packing, freight-handling, trucking, forwarding, cargo storage, customs clearance, registration of vehicles and other related services that apply to shipments originating from, consigned to, routed through, and/or moved within the geographic area(s) of Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait and Turkey. The requirements for transportation and mail delivery services are on estimated quantities identified for calculation on various units of measure. The transportation considers carefully the shipping of U.S. Government owned properties via surface or air modes of shipping within and outside Iraq to world destinations. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Again, this solicitation is issued via the embassy website http://iraq.usembassy.gov/gso_procurement.html - no paper copies will be mailed.
