- General Information Document Type: Sources Sought Notice Reference Number: W91YTZ-12-X-0001 Current Response Date: 13 June Classification Code: 62 - Health Care and Social Responsibilities, Naics Code: 541990- All other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services - Non-Personal Service Contracting Office Address The North Atlantic Regional Contracting Office (NARCO), Direct Health Care Division,5021 5th St Bldg 1467 Fort Belvoir VA 20307 The North Atlantic Regional Contracting Office (NARCO) is holding a vendor fair/day of industry for commercial small business vendors that are capable of providing an automated medication dispensing device and/or medication adherence monitoring technology in support of the Warrior in Transition Command (WTC). This event will be held at the Fort Belvoir Community Center, Building 1200, 10300 Taylor Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 on 26 June 2012 at 0800. The following are the primary objectives for this requirement: The Warrior in Transition Command (WTC) seeks to evaluate commercially available automated medication devices that will assist Soldiers in remembering to take their medications. These devices will be used in patients with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury and/or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTDS). Qualifying Soldiers will fall into two categories: 1. Cognitively impaired: These patients are not cognitively capable of reading and / or understanding the pharmacy label instructions nor are they capable of organizing and planning their prescription drug regimen due to their injury or the mediations they are taking. They require special care and oversight to insure they take their medications correctly. 2. Complex drug regimens: These patients are taking medication regimens that require: (a) Polypharmacy medication regimens (b) Titration both on and off medications (c) Changes in dosing (d) Discontinuation medications and replacement of medications based upon outcomes and the patient's reaction to medications (e) Strict adherence to medication dosing instructions where a medication must be cancelled if not taken at the correct time. (f) Documented medication reporting and accountably In addition: Each Vendor will make a maximum fifteen (15) minute presentation of their solution to include a demonstration. The presentation should: (a) Identify how the device meets the requirements (b) Demonstrate how it operates (c) Provide data on prior studies for the treatment of cognitively impaired patients with complex drug regimens. Fifteen (15) minutes will be reserved for question and answers Vendors will be scheduled to make demo presentations in the order they respond to this announcement (first response, first scheduled) until all available time slots for the day are exhausted. The Government will consider information furnished in response to these sources sought announcement from vendors which are not invited to make a presentation. After results of this market research are obtained NARCO may conduct a competitive procurement and subsequently award a Contract. NARCO is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, and small businesses. Small businesses are defined under the associated NAICS code for this effort, 541990, as those domestic sources having $14 million or less. Please include your company's size classification in any response to this notice, as well as whether it is a HUBZone, 8(a), Veteran Owned, or Woman Owned Small Business. Companies that can provide this requirement and would like to participate in this event please RSVP No Later Than 19 June 2012 to the point of contact listed below.
