Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) intends to issue a sole-source contract with AgDia Incorporated located in Elkhart, IN, for 480 AgDia PPV ELISA kits 3105/5000 and 480 Durvis DAS PPV ELISA Kits. Services will also include storage, processing testing and retesting of approximately 70,000 PPV leaf samples from New York, Michigan, and possibly other U.S. states under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253( c ) (1). AgDia, Inc. is a small business and the only commercial provider for the AgDia ELISA kits in the U.S. and the only commercial laboratory approved by the USDA, APHIS, National Plant Germplasm Quarantine Center, Beltsville, MD, and the only company with a special permit to conduct Plum Pox Virus testing. This will be a, firm-fixed-priced, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for a period not to exceed five years. This notice is for informational purposes only. No formal solicitation will be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 325413, and the size standard is 500 Employees.
