Description

The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS, intends to issue a sole source firm fixed price award to DELL MARKETING L.P., One Dell Way, Round Rock, TX 78682, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is for Dell Powervault, Hardrives, and Warranty, which includes: Item 1: Two (2) base units that include a PowerVault TL2000, the hard drive controllers, the cables and the warranties; Item 2: The Power Edge 2950 Upgrade Package, which includes (12) Hard Drives (2) RAID Controllers, and (4) Memory Module Kits; and Item 3: The Dell Extended Services for Power Edge 2950 servers. Estimated value of this action is $37K. DELL MARKETING L.P, has matched tape drive hardware with upgrades to the existing PowerEdge 2950 servers. The required delivery is 06 JULY, 2012. FOB: Destination, Stennis Space Center, MS 39522-5001. This requirement will be processed utilizing FAR PART 12 and FAR PART 13 procedures. The applicable North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) is 334112, Computer Storage Device Manufacturing, and the business size standard is 1000 employees. Award of purchase order N62306-12-P-M705 will be made on or about June 15, 2012. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Any inquires concerning this requirement is to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
