- Submissions are due nlt noon on the 30th of July 2012. DESCRIPTION Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN LANT) has identified a war-fighter requirement for a Compact MUOS Terminal (CMT). The CMT will need to support the MUOS black-side waveform only, providing Point-to-Net (P2N) services over a single channel at minimum data rate of 9.6 kbps. CMT is not required to provide COMSEC capability, but must be compatible with external data encryption devices. The maximum volume of the CMT must not exceed 200 cubic inches. The CMT must be able of accepting a data input via Ethernet cable. The CMT must accept power from an external battery, have a maximum power utilization of 12 Watts and be capable of supporting a 50% transmit duty cycle for a period in excess of 2 hours without overheating at ambient temperatures. No other specific environmental requirements have been identified at this time. The CMT must be interoperable with the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) version of MUOS and the DoD Gateway, capable of obtaining MUOS User Entry authorization. SUBMITTALS The information received shall be reviewed to conduct objective, comparative assessments and validation of commercial equipment and systems. This RFI is for INFORMATION GATHERING and PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY, and SHOULD NOT be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government DOES NOT INTEND to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. All information received will be treated as public knowledge; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL 2. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address 3. A brief description (500 words or less) of capabilities and existing, planned or related products. 4. Any relevant cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information.
