Description
On or about 29 May 2012, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Hogue Island Repairs, Section 33, Burleigh County, North Dakota. The solicitation will close on or about 28 June 2012. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A tentative site visit date has been scheduled for 14 June 2012 at 10:00 am. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work need to make reservations with Tom Westenburg, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Telephone: 701-390-7318 or email Thomas.W.Westenburg@usace.army.mil. Contractors are to meet outside the Corp Of Engineers Office located at the Federal Building, 304 East Broadway, Bismarck, ND. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: (Approx. quantities) The work is required to repair bank stabilization structures in the Hogue Island area following the high flows of 2011. Two federal bank stabilization projects are included: Eagle Park and Burnt Creek. The stabilization projects are on the left descending bank of the Missouri River between miles 1325 and 1320. The work will include placing approximately 10,800 tons of stone along approximately 4500 linear feet. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
