Description

In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.207, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Far East (NAVFAC FE), intends to solicit competitive offers for a Firm Fixed-Price Contract for Procurement of Ten (10) Structural Pumper Fire Trucks for Camp Zama Fire Department, Hiro Ammunition Depot Fire Station and Naha Port Fire Station, Okinawa, Japan. See uploaded 1ST File for details. The solicitation is estimated to be released on AsiaNECO on/or around the 15 June 2012. This will be an electronic solicitation only in PDF Format. No paper solicitations will be issued. Prospective bidders/offerors must register for this project in AsiaNECO, in order to receive notification of availability of solicitation documents. Notification of any changes to the solicitation (Amendments) shall be made only on the internet. It is the Contractor s responsibility to check the above listed address daily or any posted changes to solicitation s plans and specifications. This pre-solicitation notice is intended for local sources in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(12). Local sources are those persons or entities normally resident and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Offers from non-local sources will not be considered under this pre-solicitation notice in accordance with the provisions of the U.S. “ Japan Status of Forces Agreement. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) 252.204-7004 and 252.232-7009, in order to receive award. CCR can be obtained at www.ccr.gov or calling 1-888-227-2423. In addition Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) must be completed upon submission of proposal.
