Description
Description of Services: The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor, manpower, and appropriate license(s) and qualification(s) necessary to perform and accomplish grounds maintenance services at the following U.S Army Installations in Okinawa, Japan: Torii Station, Bolo Point, Naha Port, Naha Annex, Chimuwan Tank Farm #1, 2 & 3, Kuwae Tank Farm #1 & 2, White Beach, and Patrol Road Petroleum Oils and Lubricants (POL) Line. Basic Services: 1. Improved Grounds: Grass, grass around trees, shrubs and hedges shall be maintained on all improved grounds at the areas in the aforementioned installations. Areas identified as improved grounds require additional maintenance and higher levels of workmanship. Improved grounds are identified as high visibility areas such as around the headquarters buildings, the main access gates, and parade grounds, and are frequently visited by high-ranking military and government officials. The contractor shall maintain grass height on improved grounds between 2 to 4 inches from the ground at all times, and shall maintain a well-manicured appearance. 2. Semi-Improved Grounds: grass, grass around trees, shrubs and hedges shall be maintained on all semi-improved grounds at the areas in the aforementioned installations. Areas identified as semi-improved grounds require maintenance of a lesser degree than improved grounds. These areas are normally in outlying or low visibility locations. The contractor shall maintain grass height on semi-improved grounds between 4 to 14 inches from the ground at all times, and shall maintain a well-manicured appearance. 3. Initial Cutting. This performance consists of but not limited to leveling of ground, removal and appropriate disposal of debris, trees, roots, trunks, etc., that might interrupt the leveling of ground. The contractor shall follow the direction of the Contracting Officer's Representative(s) (COR) in order to remove trees, trees root, shrubs, hedges, grass clippings, debris, etc. This performance shall be requested by a separated memorandum every time it is required by the Government. *Note to Interested Parties: This is a pre-solicitation notice. Solicitation documents including performance-based work statement (PWS) and other related documents will be posted accordingly - in 30 days.
