- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue a Fixed Price (FP) contract to Television Equipment Associates (TEA) located at 16 Mount Ebo Road S Ste 6 (PO Box 404), Brewster, NY 10509-0404; to procure a total of 292 TACMIC Speakermic/headset PTT with DCV auto sensing and internal battery for use on PRC Radios; P/N CT7-ES-P3. Delivery will be FOB Destination to St. Inigoes, MD 16 weeks ADC. These speaker micophones will be integrated into the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) Non Standard Commercial Vehicle (NSCV) Suitcase systems.The NSCV is a full scale deployable and scalable transit case that gives "on the go" essential communications connectivity. The system is designed for use in a pickup truck or SUV and will be installed in a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and in Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. TEA is the only known source capable of producing speaker microphones that meet the following government requirements; have an auto DC detection feature which serves to save battery power, as well as, volume control at the mocrophone; are push to talk capable with an amplified speaker and microphone in a small form factor with an optional headset jack; and are tactical speaker-microphones capable of tone signaling used for sending prearranged codes or alerts for silent transmissions. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Responses must be received by 2:00 PM Eastern Time on 28 May 2012. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is: 334290. The anticipated solicitation number for this action is N68335-12-R-0199. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received. All responsible sources may submit information that shall be considered by the agency.
