The PPTLSS is an integrated, two-person portable, battery-powered device that will replace the existing Patient Movement Items (ventilator, suction device, physiological monitor, oxygen bottles) and Special Medical Emergency Evacuation Device (SMEED) bracket used in the En Route Care System (ERCS). The device shall have an integrated oxygen concentrator unit and provide mechanical ventilation support to critically injured/ill, but stabilized, casualties during transport aboard Marine Corps vehicles. The PPTLSS will primarily be operated onboard Marine Corps aircraft and ground vehicles. This is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity requirement. It is anticipated that a maximum of 300 PPTLSS units will be required (base and option quantities). It is anticipated that the PPTLSS requirement will include spares packages, operator and maintenance training, and technical documentation. Evaluation factors will be set forth in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. NAICS code 334510 applies. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued in the mid-June 2012 timeframe.
