- Description
- The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Strategic Technology Office (STO), issued Broad Agency Announcement No. DARPA-BAA-11-51 titled, "Content-Based Mobile Edge Networking," on 26 April 2011. The BAA solicited innovative research proposals in the areas of content distribution in a mobile ad hoc network environment. The contractor has proposed to investigate innovative approaches that enable efficient use of network resources to provide secure, on-demand access by warfighters at the edge to relevant battlefield content. Specifically excluded is research that primarily results in evolutionary improvements to the existing state of practice. The USC ISI Team offers DARPA a unique opportunity that matches the DARPA CBMEN program objectives that the Mobile System Integrator (MSI) not only provide physical test articles, but also select and adapt applications that highlight the military capability that has been achieved, provide an integration setting that is flexible and supportive of the widest range of approaches to the program, and also provide assessments and metrics that demonstrate the program's utility.
