Description

THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Midwest Health Care System (VISN 23) Network Contract Activity (NCA) on behalf of the Minneapolis Health Care System (MVAHCS) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for completion of general construction project 618-12-301 "Expand Biomedical Instrumentation Server Room", at the Minneapolis VAMC, Minneapolis, Minnesota, The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation) and Part 36 (Construction) and will be evaluated with procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220, with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. The Magnitude of Construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The period of performance is 180 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed to Design. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and design-build services necessary for design and expansion of the biomedical instrumentation server room in accordance with the project drawings and specifications. Work includes but is not limited to architectural-engineering design and construction services necessary to build a new computer server room adjacent to the existing computer server room. The solicitation documents including specifications will be issued on or about May 25, 2012. Proposals are due 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. A Site visit is tentatively scheduled for 10:00 am on June 1. Specific information for the Site visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. NO proposers list is maintained. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Bidders must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List.
