Description
RFI regarding labor categories Request for Information on Labor Categories Industry input is requested in regard to labor categories to be used in the subject requirement. It is anticipated that labor categories will be used to calculate the total evaluated price for the AF Bearings Initiative proposals and that these categories and their pricing will be contractually binding. New categories cannot be added after contract award, so it is imperative that any labor category that may be used be included in this list as contractors will bid to these categories in all future task order proposals. The labor rates will be established at contract award, so contractors will be required to submit rates for each year of the contract (i.e. 7 years) with their proposal. Industry input is requested to determine the appropriate labor categories that will be used to accomplish the tasks as set forth in the contract, keeping in mind that any labor category that might be used in the 7 year time-frame of the contract be included with this list. The Government has developed the following list of labor categories (see attachment), but requests that companies with specific knowledge of what is required in bearing repair provide input on other labor categories that might be utilized in this endeavor. We intend to use your responses to conduct market research, refine the Request For Proposal, and to enhance the selection criteria assuring open competition while supplying the best combination of military, government and commercial practices to our effort. To ensure that your answers and comments are considered in the development of this acquisition, please submit your responses no later than 12:00 PM MST 24 May 2012. This RFI is not a solicitation for proposal. Response to this RFI is voluntary; respondents will not be compensated for information provided. Thank you for your interest in and input to the AF Bearings Initiative support contract. Responses to or questions regarding this RFI should be sent to the contracting point of contact 1st Lt. Eric Underwood at eric.underwood@hill.af.mil or Christy Marquardt at christy.marquardt@hill.af.mil. Thank you for taking the time to respond to this RFI. Your candid responses will help guide our acquisition strategy to satisfy the requirements of the Air Force Bearings Initiative.
