- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a new Prospectus soliciting for proposals in response to a business opportunity to operate overnight accommodations, food and beverage, retail, and other services a Grant Grove and Cedar Grove within Kings Canyon National Park. The NPS will issue the Prospectus on May 18, 2012, under the terms described in the Prospectus. The existing Concession Contract between the NPS and the Prior Concessioner is set to expire December 31, 2012. The Director, pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is NOT a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for a term of ten (10) years. Any proposals must be received by the National Park Service, Pacific West Region, Attn: Commercial Services Office, 333 Bush Street, Suite 500, San Francisco, California 94104. Proposals are due no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) August 22, 2012. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $50 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $40 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash or credit cards accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service; and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package. Prospectus packages will be available by contacting Trystan Stern, Commercial Services Analyst, Pacific West Region, via email to Trystan_Stern@nps.gov. The Prospectus will also be available after August 22, 2012, at http://concessions.nps.gov/prospectuses.htm. If you choose to retrieve a copy of the Prospectus from the NPS website please notify Trystan Stern via email, so you are placed on the mailing list to receive notifications of any future modifications or other correspondence. A one-day site visit is scheduled for June 14, 2012. If you would like to participate in this site visit, you must RSVP to Trystan Stern for additional information regarding the time and location of the site visit and to reserve a spot. Any questions regarding this business opportunity must be received in writing no later than June 28, 2012.
