- The US Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Office of Procurement Services on behalf of the Occupational Safety an Health Administration (OSHA) intends to award a sole source contract, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to Fredrick T. Elder & Associates, 2222 Commonwealth Avenue, Madison, WI 53726-5302 to provide professional expert advice to OSHA on the hazards of Low Pressure Ammonia Receivers. The government intends to use the contractor's technical input as the basis for entering into a corporate settlement agreement with ConAgra, Inc. to abate the subject hazards at (6) of its facilities in the U.S. This action will result in a 1 year Firm-Fixed-Priced contract with no option periods. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals. Phone calls will not be accepted. The point of contact for this action is Mr. Elijah Gross, Contract Specialist, gross.elijah@dol.gov. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a Capability Statement to Mr. Elijah Gross via e-mail no later than May 17, 2012; 3:00PM EST. Questions are due no later than May 15, 2012; 12:00PM EST. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
