Description
The following are Vendor Questions with Answers provided by National Park Service Staff. All other information in the combined synopsis/solicitation remains the same. QUESTION: Please identify the model number(s) of the Nortel/Meridian handsets to be recorded (e.g. 2216, 3904). ANSWER: NORTEL T7315 Handset P/N NTAB27-80-N QUESTION: Please define with specificity "20 analog or P25 VoIP Radio Channels". Are these 20 channels standard analog? Are the "or P25 VoIP Radio Channels terminated as analog? Or is there some other meaning? ANSWER: The 20 channels are stand 2-wire analog radio circuits. The P25 VOIP Radio channels are not analog. They are Project 25 ROIP/VOIP radio circuits. QUESTION: Please identify both the Avaya IP PBX and handset model numbers. ANSWERP: Avaya IP phone 1616-1 Avaya Server 8800 PBX software Communication Manager 5.2 QUESTION: Is IRIG B time source being used or is the time synchronization NTP? (IRIG B will require an extra card in the recorder and will increase the price) ANSWER: Time synch will provide both outputs of IRIG B and NTP. QUESTION: Is the P25 radio conventional or trunked? If trunked, how many frequencies are used? How many talk groups are to be recorded. ANSWER: Yellowstone radio system is P25 Convention mixed mode (analog/digital) Land Mobile radio system. QUESTION: Regarding "Project 25 compatible" is this a current or future requirement? If current, are the frequencies and/or talk groups available as analog signals? ANSWER: Project 25 compatible is a current requirement. QUESTION What is Project 25? ANSWER: Project 25 (P25) is the standard for the design and manufacture of interoperable digital two-way wireless communications products. Developed in North America with state, local and federal representatives and Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) governance, P25 has gained worldwide acceptance for public safety, security, public service, and commercial applications. The published P25 standards suite is administered by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA Mobile and Personal Private Radio Standards Committee TR-8). Radio equipment that demonstrates compliance with P25 is able to meet a set of minimum requirements to fit the needs of public safety.
