Frontier FT-IR System features: # Rapid scan spectrometer: collects up to 170 scans sec-1 when used with Spotlight Imager. # Sealed and desiccated optics: protect moisture-sensitive components and reduce the effect of change of atmospheric absorption. # Sample compartment: full size sample compartment with quick release cover and service access. # Network operation: TCP/IP interface allows connection to a PC and/or Local Area Network. # Plug-in accessory capability: allows accessory recognition by serial number and automatic accessory optimization. # Automatic Precision Validator (APV): built-in validation standards for abscissa accuracy and ordinate repeatability for automatic validation. # Atmospheric absorption microscope built into the same system. Patented DuetĂ” detector containing NBMCT array detector and MBMCT detector in the same Dewar, on the same substrate. Mode selected with a single mouse click, with no mechanical changeover or re-alignment necessary. # Operating modes: Transmission and Reflectance mode with the array detector with ATR Imaging as an option. Transmission and Reflectance mode with the single point detector with Micro ATR as an option. # Array operation: high performance linear NB MCT array with infinitely variable image size. Image size is limited only by PC RAM memory limitations. # Variable pixel resolution, 1.56 µ (ATR Imaging mode only), 6.25 µ, 25 µ and 50 µ. # Array frequency range: 7,800-720cm-1 # Resolution: better than 2 cm-1. # Array Sensitivity: typically better than 4000/1 rms, 800/1 p-p for a 0.8 second measurement. The measurement time includes the total scan time and signal processing. Measurements are made at 16 cm-1 spectral resolution with Beer-Norton apodization. # Single point operation: High sensitivity 125x100m MBMCT detector with automated apertures, focus, stage control, throughput correction, mode of operation and visible/IR switchover. Switch between Visible and IR is achieved with zero mechanical movement. # Single point frequency range: 7,800-600cm-1 # Resolution: better than 2.0 cm-1. # Single point sensitivity: typically better than 50,000/1 rms, 12,000/1 p-p for 128 scans at 4cm-1 spectral resolution with Beer-Norton apodization. # Visible Illumination: Solid-state white light illumination provides even and accurate color, better brightness and longer life. Built-in polarizer (requires analyzer). Applications Software # Spotlight software: provides automated control of the complete system from a single application to include visible image survey and determination of IR image area or point(s); collection of total absorbance IR image or IR spectral map, spectral manipulation, image manipulation, data extraction and reporting. Spectrum System Controller # Spotlight controller: 3GHz Pentium or faster, 512Mb or higher RAM, 40Gb or higher Hard Drive, 3 or more PCI slots, Windows 7 operating system, Read-Write CD drive, Colour Monitor capable of 1024 x 768 resolution and 75MHz refresh rate.
