Description

The Lebanon VA Medical Center has a requirement for "Installation of two Owner-Furnished Humidifiers." A Firm-Fixed Price Construction award is anticipated. Install two owner furnished humidifiers: 1) remove existing humidifiers and accessories 2) remove one section of duct at each humidifier 3) install new stainless steel duct with humidifier grid 4) install new humidifiers. Existing steam traps and valves will be reused for the new installation 5) insulate duct and piping for new installation and drain line 6) remove and reroute the condensate return in the crawl space and tie it into a sanitary line with a P-trap 7) provide ICRA barriers for the humidifier installations 8) work is based on regular working hours 7AM to 3:30PM 9) control wiring for the humidifiers -- Coordination with current vendor must take place 10) permits. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Additionally, this acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 15.101-1, Best Value/Tradeoff Source Selection Process where technical capabilities are significantly more important than price. Solicitation documents will be available electronically on or about May 23, 2012, at the following website: www.fbo.gov. Offerors will search for solicitation VA244-12-B-0707 to access solicitation documents and any Amendments. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF ACTIONS INCLUDING POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS. HOWEVER, OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. The NAICS Code for this project is 238220. Project Magnitude: Between $25,000 and $100,000.00. Contract Completion Time will be Ninety (60) Calendar Days. Ninety day bid acceptance period will be required. Bid bond, Payment and Performance bonds will be required. A pre-proposal conference will be held at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave, Lebanon PA 17042. The time for this conference will be definitized when the solicitation is posted. This pre-proposal conference is not mandatory; however, all potential Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend. There will be no response to any other request for site visits. This will serve as the perfect opportunity for contractors to fully understand the project, as there will be representative(s) from engineering, contracting and the program office in attendance. Electronic or phone requests will not be accepted, nor will electronic proposals. Offerors are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the website frequently to ensure you have the most up to date information, including amendments. All correspondence in reference to the solicitation contents or general questions must be addressed in writing on company letterhead, containing a point of contact, the SOL number, email address, phone and fax numbers and must be addressed to the contracting officer listed. All potential contractors must be registered in www.ccr.gov to do business with the Government and must have completed online Representations and Certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov. Ensure your registration is correct, current and has not expired. All prospective contractors must be registered in VetBiz at www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award.
