- Description
- Description: The F-5 Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Industry Day originally announced, 29 March 2012, has been changed to a Site Visit. PEO(A), PMA-207, Patuxent River, MD, is sponsoring this unclassified Site Visit on 16 May 2012 in conjunction with the NSAWC site visit (Reference: Announcement N00019-12-R-0007). The purpose of the event is to provide a status update of the F-5 program, inform industry of program requirements, tour F-5 facilities, and provide a question & answer/networking opportunity. This site visit is considered Market Research to involve potential offerors early in the acquisition process. The Adversary F-5 program provides air to air combat training to graduate level pilots and carrier air wings at three locations in the continental United States. The F-5N is a single seat, GE J85-21 twin-engine, high-performance multi-purpose tactical fighter and attack aircraft providing simulated air-to-air combat training manufactured by Northrop Grumman Corporation. The F-5F is a dual-seat version, twin-engine, tactical fighter commonly used for training and adversary combat tactics. The aircraft serves in an aggressor-training role with simulation capability of current threat aircraft in fighter combat mode. The General Session will be held on 16 May 2012, at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon, Nevada, 4755 Pasture Road, Multi Purpose Room, Fallon, Nevada 89496 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST. A site visit of the F-5 hangar at Fallon, Nevada is planned for 16 May 2012. The "Multi Purpose Room" is located near the Sierra House Officer Berthing (Bldg 69). After entering the main gate, continue straight past the Silver State Officer's Club until you reach the Tahoe Officer Berthing. Take a right on the street directly after the Tahoe Officer Berthing. Follow the road around the curve and the multipurpose room will be off to your left side. Parking is available anywhere around the building except for the assigned parking. Site Visit Registration: Registration will be conducted in advance; doors will open at 7:00 AM PST, 16 May 2012. Registration information should include the following: Name, Organization/Command, Title, E-mail Address, and Phone Number.
