Description
The following are the questions and the responses submitted concerning the solicitationQUESTION:There is a requirement that says =BFAS350 only: side cargo compartment(s) must be equipped with increased stowage capability of at least 5.5 cu ft.=BF Our aircraft has the left hand sliding door which prohibits the use of a squirrel cheek on that side. We have the squirrel cheek on the pilot=BFs side, as well as the cargo extension in the aft compartment, and can also fit the Dart Utility Cargo basket on the left side for even more cargo carrying capability. My question is does the (s) indicate that it is acceptable to have only one cargo compartment with the =BFsquirrel cheek=BF ANSWER: The spec does call for external cargo racks (not baskets), but doesn't specify how many. The squirrel cheek in this context is considered an internal storage compartment. Similarly, the spec doesn't really say how many side compartments are required. The total storage capability offered by this configuration is allowed.QUESTION: Who is the incumbent for this requirement=3F ANSWER: Bristow Alaska Inc. What is the historical data for these items=3F ANSWER: 2011- 106 days @ $2362/day; 288 hours @ $495/hr2010- 92 days @ $2271/day; 264 hours @ $495/hr2009- 100 days @ $2184/day; 325 hours @ $475/hr Where will the aircraft be based=3F ANSWER: The three main field camps that the aircraft will work out of are Umiat, Ivotuk and Inigok. These camps are within the NPRA, on the North Slope. The aircraft will only spend a few days at most at the designated base of Fairbanks. END OF AMENDMENT POSTING
