This is a Sources South (SS) Notice Only. This is not a request for proposal. There is no solicitation available at this time. The government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy to replace existing pneumatically controlled hot water heaters with four industrial electronically DDC controlled, low pressure steam double tube horizontal instantaneous domestic hot water heaters. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS), Fort Wayne, IN is conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Hubzone Small Businesses, 8(a), women owned or small business firms capable of performing the requirements to warrant a solicitation set-aside. The proposed solicitation is to replace existing pneumatically controlled hot water heaters with four industrial electronically DDC controlled, low pressure steam double tube horizontal instantaneous domestic hot water heaters. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supervision, test equipment, technical manuals and transportation. The new water heaters shall be tied into all existing and required facilities.
