Description

The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center located at 1826 Veterans Boulevard, Dublin, Georgia intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) numbered VA247-12-B-0371 for project # 557-CSI-375 entitled "Hospice Care Unit" on or about the week of May 14, 2012. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified or cancelled, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOPPS (www.fbo.gov). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR); In accordance with VAAR 852.219-10 VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and VAAR 819-7005; Offeror submitting a proposal must be CVE verified and visible in the VIP database at time of proposal due date and award. There will be a pre-bid site investigation; all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site investigation will be included in the solicitation package. Project Magnitude: Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000 Period of Performance: 360 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming IFB solicitation to satisfy the requirement of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until an IFB is issued. Questions will only be answered that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The Contracting Officer will not maintain a bidder ™s mailing list. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. Do not contact the Contracting for General Contractor information. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, installation of Government-furnished sterilization equipment, utility systems, and necessary removal of existing construction and certain other items. Work includes dust protection, interim life safety measures, and selective demolition. All work shall be performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Accepted final project shall be in accordance with final contract documents, applicable drawings, plans and specifications. This project was previously posted with solicitation VA247-11-RP-0205 Location 2 Georgia Seed project. Public Bid opening will be held at proposal due date listed on the solicitation.
