Description
This is Sources Sought Notice Only. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bids. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes and to determine whether to set-aside the requirement for Small Businesses and identify the availability of roofing materials similar or equivalent to Euroshake roofing materials. The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is seeking Small Businesses with current level of qualifications, experience, personnel, and capabilities to perform the proposed requirement for the re-roofing of a residential building located in the Mt. Baker Ranger District 100 miles north of Seattle, WA The building was constructed in the 1930s and is part of the Historical Preservation. The new roofing material will be made of green material, specifically, rubber shakes that still gives the appearance of real shakes. The new shakes will have to be approved by the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historical Preservation (http://www.dahp.wa.gov/) as material that can be used on buildings that have been identified as Historical landmarks. The new shakes will require a warranty of 30+ years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 238160 and the annual size standard is $14.0 Million. All capable Small Businesses that can provide the material requested and that can do the work in Washington State are encouraged to respond. No formal Solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this notice should include the following: 1. Name and address of the company/provider; 2. Business size; socio-economic category; if any; 3. Experience in roofing with the proposed material; 4. Description of product that has been approved by the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historical Preservation similar or equivalent to Euroshake roofing materials; AND 5. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) database - provide DUNS number.
