- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Large Businesses and Small Businesses, including 8(a), HubZone & Service Disabled Veteran-Owned firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 334516 (Laboratory analytical instruments (except optical) manufacturing). The U.S. Military Academy West Point NY is seeking sources to provide Multi-Channel Potentiostat/Impedance Analyzer. At a minimum, each of the following elements are required as part of the specification for this instrument: General - Potentiostat must include a minimum of 8 channels - Impedance analyzer must be rated to 1MHz - Potentiostat and impedance analyzer must be included in a single unit or be capable of being connected in serial and controlled from a single computer. Computer & Software - Instrument will be operated with a PC acquired separately from the vendor. - Computer will run under Microsoft XP or Windows 7. - Computer will have an IEEE488 (GPIB) interface - Vendor will supply all programs and cables required to connect this computer to the instrumentation and control computer. - If ethernet is used for communication with instrumentation, a second Ethernet interface will be provided for USMA use. - Instrument control software will provide for control over all instrument functions through a graphical user interface. - Vendor software will facilitate electrochemical results analysis to include: Utilities - 120 VAC at < 1000 Volt-Amps. - No cooling air or water or other gases are required from USMA physical infrastructure. Warranty - One year on-site service warranty. - Includes all parts, labor and travel. Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing this product. Please include your business size with your submittal. This is not a Request for Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334516 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to alea.j.barnes@us.army.mil. The information requested must be received no later than 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on May 11, 2012.
