THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE, NOT THE SOLICITATION THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE IS AS PER FAR PART 5 PUBLICING CONTRACT ACTIONS THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE WILL BE FOLLOWED BY A SOLICITATION IN A FEW WEEKS, PLEASE CHECK BACK ON WWW.FBO.GOV FOR THE POSTING OF SOLICITATION THIS PRE-SOLICITATION IS FOR REPLACE AIR HANDLERS 4 + 6 + 7, VAMC NORTHPORT NY VA NOTICE OF VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE PROJECT TITLE: REPLACE AIR HANDLERS 4 & 6 & 7, BLDG. 200, VA MEDICAL CENTER NORTHPORT, NY PROJECT NO. 632-07-103ES PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to perform all work to replace three (3) existing air handling units (AH-4 and AH-6 and AH-7) with three (3) new air handling units, located in mechanical equipment room number 2, sub-basement of Building 200, VAMC Northport, NY and Duct Cleaning at various locations, and other work as listed on the project drawings and specifications (i.e. temporary AC, steam generation unit, return fan, testing and balancing, controls work, related electrical work, related sprinkler work, commissioning of systems, some ACM asbestos removal, etc.). Work to include, but not limited to construction, mechanical, electrical, utility systems, removal of existing unit parts, and all work necessary to replace air handlers and all work as listed on drawings and specifications. All work shall be in full accordance with architect and engineer drawings and specifications by Fellenzer Engineering LLP. All work shall be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. U.S. SBA Size Standard: NAICS: 238220 Size Standard: $14 million dollars COST RANGE: BETWEEN $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 COMPLETION DATE OF BASE BID: 938 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. Bidder must be Veteran Owned Small Business registered in VetBiz, CCR and ORCA prior to award. VA NOTICE OF VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE PRE BID SITE VISIT: SITE VISIT FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY AS SCHEDULED: WEDNESDAY, MAY 30, 2012 AT 10:30AM AT VAMC NORTHPORT, NY, BLDG 10 CONFERENCE ROOM, 1ST FLOOR, RM. 113 All other project details and information will be contained in the solicitation, including technical specifications and drawings, which shall be posted on www.fbo.gov (fedbizopps). The solicitation will be released in a few weeks. The bid offer response due date of deadline for bids, and response address, date, and time will be ALL be included in the solicitation. This project requires bid bond, along with the award contractor obtaining performance and payment bonds. ALL responses shall be via hardcopy (mail, delivery service, or hand delivery ONLY); NO facsimile NO e-mail bids, or other electronic means will not be accepted.
